Leaking tap

The cold tap in the handbasin of my downstairs toilet is leaking. Water is gathering around the base of the tap and dropping down along the pipes to the floor.

I have turned off the mains in my utility room together with the stop cock for cold water in my hotpress. I then turned on all the cold taps in the house to make sure that the cold water was cut off and no water is coming from any of them - except from the leaking tap in the downstairs toilet!

Does anybody know if there is another stopcock someplace which might be feeding this tap so I can stop the flow?

I can't get a plumber at this short notice and have to go away tonight for the night but don't want a flood when I return.

All advice will be much appreciated.

In your hotpress there should be valves to turn cold feed off if you can post pics someone will be able to sort it

Thanks Robbie.G. I am beginning to think the tap is served by the mains. I turned off the mains stopcock while the tap was flowing and the tap continued to flow but at a slightly reduced volume. I turned back on the mains while the tap was on and the flow of water came back at full blast. The only other tap served by the mains is the one at the kitchen sink and that one stopped completely when the mains was off.
Will a valve in the hotpress still completely stop the flow if this is the case?

Not If it's off the mains
A valve in hotpress will only work if the toilets tank fed
