Just wondering if customs ramp up their effort around christmas. What % of items normally get checked and because of the increase in items coming in around christmas time does this % decrease? Just read about the story of those hoover boards that customs refused to let in after they were tested as being cheap electronics.

traditionally customs are much more on the ball on the run up to christmas. I doubt customs would tell you what % of parcels they open at any time.
