Bet365 Blocked My Use

I've been betting with Bet365 for the past few years. No issues until last night.
I went to have a flutter on Fundalk but when I accessed the website, before even logging in, the website wouldn't load entirely. I could neither log in nor access their support pages.

I've contacted them via email and they told me my account was restricted due to them detecting that it was a VPN or Managed Connection.
I've no idea what this means nor did they provide an explanation.

The only internet provider I can use is via satellite broadband. Is this the issue?
I'm using this provider for over a year now.
Bit annoyed tbh, as I was just cut out without notification and I actually find Bet365 one of the better sites.

Can someone explain what has happened?

I would email them and explain your situation. As you say if your account has been with them for a few years with no hassle then can't imagine they will keep you blocked. Gambling sites can often not like VPN's, VM's etc being used to access their sites due to fraud/bonus abuse or other nefarious reasons.

I tried and they are just not interested.

Have used Paddy Power for today but not keen on the site and the mobile site is God-awful with my windows phone.


Any suggestions for an alternative betting site?

Are you using Hola Unblocker or similar on chrome or firefox? I regularly forget to switch it off before logging in and get that message.

Satellite broadband probably the issue, you would need to contact them to see can they show your IP as coming from Ireland. Unfortunately it would be a very serious issue for B365 if they were caught allowing people with an IP from a banned country to gamble.

I dont even know what Hola Unblocker is!!!

Ive sent off another email to see if theyll make an exception.

It must be something to do with international restrictions due to the satellite. I have their app and it won't allow me to use it in Spain anyway.

They seem to have started geoblocking streams as well. They wont let me view RacingUK streams for some reason. ATR are fine. Football and Tennis streams are also blocked for me, but some of "****tier" sports streams I can still get e.g. beach-volleyball/table-tennis.

Its only that I cant use Bet365 anymore and use PP and Betfair that I realise how straight forward and easy to navigate Bet365 was.
