Hi all just looking to get advice from anyone in the security industry.
I have recently completed both door and guarding courses and sent off my application for my PSA licence today, Ive been told that it can take almost 6 weeks to recieve your PSA licence, so does this mean I cant work until I recieve it?
Could I apply for jobs and work while Im still waiting for it?

Could apply for them, not so sure what the employers will say about it in an interview though! But yes you can work while waiting for it once the employer tells the PSA you have a job with them and the PSA will send you a letter which gives you permission to work.

I have been waiting for my PSA licence for 6 months. I keep emailing the PSA about my application but they keep saying the Gardai has not started the Vetting. Anyway to answer your question yes you can. I emailed a security company this week asking them could I apply for job even though I did not have my PSA licence yet and they said yes. They even called me for an interview which I did on Thursday.
