Anyone else applying for this on the public jobs website?
I just applied for it there however I noticed that it was a very quick and not detailed type of application, didnt ask for any CV or any questions or anything just details about age, pps number, race , etc.
Is this the norm for the Garda applications?

I tried to apply but I don't really get one thing, is it only opened for current Garda reserve?

I've heard that Reserve Gardaí will be separated from everyone else in this recruitment.

    Is this true?

This could be true alright cause when youre applying for it theres alot of questions as to whether youre part of the reserves or not and a place to attach your reserve number and other reserve documents.

I'm sure they (reserve gardai) just skip the online assessment and go straight to the supervised assessment, not that much of an advantage to be honest, just applied there earlier today, would much prefer the prison service if they ever hurry on and recruit :D And yes there is also a Irish speaking category, pity i'm useless at speaking irish, not that i'd want to be put in a gaeltacht area anyways :)

Just a quick question, hopefully someone will know the answer or know of someone who might have had experience of it in the past.
My eyesight is perfect but i'm worried about the colour blind test, if you fail the test does it mean you will fail the medical, or is there any discreation used at all

    Any help would be gratful

    Thanks

If your colour blind you will fail the eye test as there is a part were u will have to pick out coloured numbers.. I don't know if there is a way around it. They will prob give u advise on the day. But my advise would be ring hq and ask them. They might have more informationfor you.
