Really looking forward to seeing how Wait For Me gets on in the last at Newbury today. He's a very exciting horse from the bumper scene last year and I think he will be a serious contender for the Supreme Hurdle this year. He won his debut bumper on soft so the soft conditions at Newbury shouldn't inconvenience him too much today. He's got Henderson's French import Buveur D'air to contend with who brings two very good bumper runs to the table behind Barters Hill to the table too. Also in the frame in that second run were Bellshill and Potters Corner so he is most likely an above average sort himself. That said I'd be disappointed if WFM cannot get his head in front today.

People must be gluttons for punishment - Round Tower being smashed in the betting at Musselburgh today. How many times has this horse disappointed after big price moves?

I've gotten more tips for this lad over the last 18 months than I'd like to remember. He can certainly go out and win at 6/4 and carry nothing from me. Still smarting after his Limerick loss the last day.

Think he looks a good thing today.
How he was sent off at 9/10 off the back of a fall? I layed it last time.
Main danger is Crawfords who looks a summer horse. Round Tower also has a fair edge in jumping experience.

Two rules which will make you plenty over the course of the season. Lay horses who fell last time out and lay horses who are jumping debutantes. You will rarely lose money on the first of those anyways.

7.05 in Dundalk tonight looks between Empressario and Ridestan. Have backed the first one at 8/1 and had saver on the other.
Both look extremely well treated. Smith is a decent trainer and has improved significantly in NH since he last ran on flat.
Ridestan wearing blinkers is a turn off as he has been keen in his last few hurdle runs so dont know why they are putting them on??

Carwford's in first. Hurdling debut beaten. Easy lay.

    Shabra Emperor 14-1 9.05
Around here over 7f on this weight. He'll love that.
Has great record here over this trip and will go close I feel off bottom weight. This small field should not produce any excuse.

    2pts win at 14-1

E/W Yankee for me tonight at Dundalk

5.30 La Fleur Da La Force, ran well here last time is a decent price in a trappy race
6.05 Chcilet, punted the ears of this last time so she must be doing something
6.35 Ringside Humor, ran well here last time and has a pull in the weights
8.05 Red Rannah, should go close

Done by Crawfords who travelled powerfully. I've no doubt that Round Tower will win something worthwhile before the season's out but he comes with a hazard warning at the minute.

Disappointing from Wait For Me there. I've him backed ante-post for the Supreme and Neptune and hopefully more hurdling experience, better ground, and a stronger gallop will bring improvement. Jumping was awful. Winner did it well though.

    6:05 - Chiclet 5/1
    6:35 - Sharjah 8/1
    7:05 - Papaya 20/1
    7:35 - Shukov 13/2

Trixie for the three shorter prices with e/w for Papaya. If there's no money back off that, the wife will get a kicking tonight :pac:

    7.05 Dundalk
    Artiste Celebre @ 4/1

Connections confident of getting the head in front today unlike last week when beaten half a lenght. Improving with every run. I'm on ew as a saver. With money for 2 others in the field the price may even go out a small bit more.

Is my phone acting up or are posters posting up horses and then deleting them after they fail to win?

Up up and away was tipped there in Dundalk but post since gone.

    Jockey got that beat.

Taught the field would have come back more to him turning in for sure but didn't happen.

Had a few quid on Street Force in the 7.15. Big price, lack of a recent run but should be capable at the weights.

Yeah jumped terribly. He should come on for that massively but the winner looked very good. Looking forward to Barters Hill coming out now, he's got some engine

Jesus. I hope he's okay but that's madness. I had my own stag at a race meeting just very recently, if anyone had done that I'd have told them they could walk back to the hotel, they're not welcome on the bus.

The article says he fell 20 feet.
“He appeared to be trying to walk on the banister, slipped and fell,” said Kiernan.
I assume they are talking about the stairwell that leads out to the parade/bookie ring (I think the stairs flooring is transparent from what I can remember). If that's true, I am still struggling to imagine how or why he decided it would be a good idea to mount that banister.
