Importing electronics from China is a minefield. Anyone expending a material amount of money should engage a reputable company to sample test the consignment before it is shipped.

Importing electronics or electricals from China is not necessarily a minefield as long as you know what you are doing. Most amateur buyers don't know what they are doing !!

The key to buying well in China is to specify the product down to the last screw. If you're buying anything electrical you need to specify particularly the grade of copper in the motors and all associated parts. If you dont specify the product well, then you'll get the cheapest.

The problem with many amateur buyers is they negotiate hard on price. For a chinese factory, lower price means lower quality. So the harder the bargain you drive, the worse will be the outcome in terms of quality.

So the key is specify the product first and then negotiate based on that specification. You never just buy the product from a picture which surprisingly many people do.
