    Thanks OP, I'm very tempted.
I would prefer the rent for 50~ per year.
In three years it'll cost 250 and I can either switch to buy later or return and buy/rent later model (offset possible saving against expense).

If I'm reading the rental offer correctly you can only offset 6 months rental payments against the purchase price should you decide to switch from renting to buying.

Thanks for bargain alert. Been very tempted with these. Have a 4 bed semi d, with thermostat upstairs on landing and one on the hall, both have 3 wires. Boiler in the kitchen that only heats rads, no option on boiler to heat water alone. Any advice on what set up i need to get full experience?

I'm not qualified to advise you but if your hot water can only be heated at the same time as your rads I'm not sure Tado (or any other smart thermometer) is going to help. Perhaps you need a solution which is fitted to your rad. Tado are developing an "on rad" solution, have a look here - https://www.tado.com/ie/heatingcontrol-savings#sv

    Hope that helps.

This may not help you but in our hotpress we have a valve that stops the rads being heated and just the water is heated when the heat is put on if we want it that way.

Actually, if you contact Tado help and outline the system you have they will revert within 48 hours telling you whether the Tado will work with your existing setup or not.
