Boilers been running away. Iv been doing work in the house.

    It's a warmflow condensing utility.

They got a fill of oil. It stopped working. Clogged to bits.

Got a new nossle 60. 0.6 cleaned it all out set pressure and air roughly. Left it for 5 mins to get rid of last bit of soot before setting properly.
    Looked fine.

Came back and burning black again.

Oil pump is holding pressure fine. Fan runs fine.

Possibly it's bad oil or a mix? Only thing I can figure

Did you have a look at the oil does it look dirty or 'bad' in any way?

What Co were you getting when it was set up properly? What was the air set to?
Also, what boiler size output is it?

Oil looked fine. Was red but was in the dark too.

Never got to setting up properly. Left it for a bit running so get rid of disturbed stuff from cleaning.

    It's a 70.

    I think about 4.

    120 psi.

Seemed to run fine at that at the start

I know the warmflow HE's are notorious for high CO. Usually the air is set much lower. Is it fitted with a T1 head? Could also be a dodgy nozzle

    Very short tube alright

I don't think it's the nossle. Same effect with old and new nossle.

On some of the warm flows there is a restricter in the air box a think they call them a disk check remove the air box and check that

usually you would be lucky to get a warmflow somewhere around 60ppm co I find a 80eh nozzle gives a better reading from these boilers

damper setting would be usually around 2

any restriction in the air intake

also make sure there is no drip from the nozzle holder and that the electrodes are correctly positioned

My biggest suspicion is ran perfect till day of fill.

You should forget that and troubleshoot as if you know nothing about it. I find I'm better off to ignore most of what the customer tells me about the problem and follow good troubleshooting practice. It's easy to get fixated on something that doesn't make sense.
If it doesn't make sense don't try to make sense of it.

Id actually be the opposite. I find I'd always listen to the customer. They're the ones who are around when it's going wrong. It's up to me to try and piece together what the hell they're talking about though.

Well yes I did overstate my point.

What was your FGA and Smoke readings? or did you not set the appliance up?

RE the fuel, take a sample and do a turbidity test, color/cloudiness etc. (in the light)

He came out maintained oil is perfect. But still drained and filled.

Cleaned it out again and worked perfectly
