Coil resistance question

I am going to have a bash at my own cool, question do I need an ohm tester or could I just screw the rba base into the mod and get a reading?

I understand this is probably far from ideal but just wanted to try a cool and see if I like the result before investing in an ohm tester.

If you've a mod that tells you the resistance of the coil you don't need an ohm tester.

I have 3 ohm testers,all giving different readings,but they are good to use as a coil building stand :D

That's what I'm using mine for as well and then I just go by what the mod is reading.
You really don't need one unless you're using mech mods for which they are mandatory to have a quality one

Well chaps I just wanted to thank you for your advice and to let you know that after a few false starts I have finally managed to wind my first coil! (I know it's not much of an achievement but I'm chuffed with it).

I used 28 guage kanthal and about six wraps around a 2mm post and it came out at 0.9 ohms.

It seems to vape very well and I am delighted with the result.

I will say however that the 32 guage wire I tried first nearly gave me a nervous breakdown as it is very fiddly!

Nice one Monkey,don't throw out the 32 guage,twist it with the 28 guage or twist 2,3 or 4 strands of 32 together,you could try that on a dripper,you may enjoy it,I do...
