Renting a venue for a gig in Dublin

Has anyone rented a venue in Dublin lately and have an idea of prices? I'm in an original band looking for gigs and they seem to be few and far between :( So we are going to do one ourselves and hopefully bring another band in.

Years ago it was certainly a bit of a rip-off, to the point where I vowed never to rent another venue again. Anywhere charging you to play can just as easily get their money elsewhere.
