Assuming you arent just the first user on a cab and also really close, then vectoring is on and you can do 90 fine.

Cab just went live last week, So I dont think there are many others upgraded yet. I think Im 500m-600m from the cab.

My experience is that they are conservative with their profiles, I was on 50Mb for ages and was happy with it and just by chance I called into a rival ISP and they checked my line and told me I could get up to 90. I then called my ISP and told them that a rival ISP was offering me 90. 30 second later I'm enjoying 85Mb down. Simples. Now that's not the case for everybody but ISPs don't want you calling all the time saying your internet is dropping all the time so they give you a lower profile

    Go here http://business.digiweb.ie/linechecker/
put in your number and see what it says.

If it gives a faster speed, give 'em a call and ask for the profile to be upped.

Be warned though, a faster profile may be unstable and you might experience disconnections. If that happens, ask them to drop you back.

eek.png What??? Something on the internet is wrong??? :p

Seriously though - how long has your cab/exchange been live and how long have you had the line? If any of these are new, then perhaps their database isn't up to date or pre-quals haven't happened.

I've had the line for years, exchange went live in July and was installed then.

You didnt perhaps switch to BB only mass? If you did you need to use the CRN not the number.

Nope, kept the number in the end. Realised I couldn't ring the Westdoc 1890 number on the 48 network without credit when everyone I this house was with 48

Line records/prequal database error so. No impact to you now but might cause a headache if you needed to port provider, but I suspect you know that yourself.

Did you just call them and ask to up your profile?

Yes. No problem asking them. I've often requested this sort of thing from them over the years and they were always obliging.
