Anybody started watching this yet? Looks very promising.

    It's actually quite good.

I watched the first series a couple of years ago, thinking at that stage there wouldn't be a second. Thankfully, a second one was finally made.
Grizzly Sean Bean plods along in murky London, always one step behind someone leaving a trail of macabre goings-on. Sounds not particularly enjoyable, but Sean Bean out-Sean-Beans Sean Bean, which is great, in an interesting re-working of the Frankenstein source material. It's not Penny Dreadful's sumptious sets, but it's got a solid storyline. More like the Alienist in look and tone; less grisly, more grim. Delightfully grim.;)

I've only just watched series one on Netflix and a little of Series 2. Myself and OH are quite enjoying it, looking forward to another bit this weekend. As you say, it's a bit grim but very watchable.
