Tralee (Co Kerry) wins Top Tourism Award?

I'm sorry. Tralee? Wtf? I mean no offence to anyone from there but I in all sincerity rate that place as one of the biggest kips in Ireland. Menacing atmosphere, boarded up shops everywhere, no buzz, poor restaurants, nothing in the town of interest.
Granted the surrounding area is beautiful but the town itself. I'm sorry, no way.

Really, that's the shortlist? Were the judges fastened to Munster by a bungee cord that stretched juuussst far enough, just the once, to allow them to reach Kilkenny?

There's several other towns they could have thrown on the mix like Carrick on Shannon or Westport. Also Wexford.
Of the towns in Leinster though, there's very few tourist hotspots besides Dublin or Kilkenny I guess.
