    Hi,
We're thinking of getting a mortgage of about 70k.
Just wondering if anyone has an opinion what the best options are (won't mention the bank.
    3.25% Variable (APR 3.3%)
    3.30% Fixed (APR 4.27%)
or possibly a bit of both i.e. a split.

    Jos

Do the variable and plough as much money as you can into it.

Is this because you anticipate the rates to rise?

If you paid back a €1000 pm you would have it paid back in 6 years or so it's a very very small mortgage, I would go with the variable and over pay if you can.
