House is zoned into 2 areas, When I light solid fuel the rads are hot but the water doesnt heat up very much. Would be warm but not hot enough to shower.
temp on cooker would show 200 deg so plenty of fuel going in!! Rads in living area are the only ones on 90% of the time. Any ideas on what the problem could be??

The water in the hot cylinder won't get hotter than what that thermostat is set to.my advice is turn it up by 5° at a time checking that the system is working ok each time until the water in the hot cylinder is heating to above 60°
    .

Ok ill try that. have had 2 plumbers out looking and both moved thermostat back as they said when they push it up above 50 the cooker starts to bang .

A different location for the thermostat is probably the most likely solution to your problem.

A different location for the thermostat is probably the most likely solution to your problem. If you get it moved as close as possible to the cooker then you should be able to set the temperature higher without the boiler banging.

Yes the thermostat was the problem. The 3rd plumber figured out that it wasnt working and replaced it. Working perfect now. Thanks for all your help
