I'm 40... Full clean license ... No points nothing.. No claims other than glass been insured on my own since I was 21.
Driving a 1.9diesel car but insurance seems to be on the up... 550 this year they are looking for.
Does anyone know who is a good competitive insurance company for my age bracket.
It's a ball ache ringing around... Maybe someone in similar position can point me in the right direction...
    Marty.

Prepare for some ball aching I'm afraid.

Alternatively get a broker do it for you.

    550 is not bad.
I drive a 2 litre petrol and got a renewal of 900+, got them down to about 650 when I rang them

Try blue insurance - same as yourself with 20 years driving experience no points and a 1.6Diesel I got a 2 year premium for €620 - € 310 per annum - fully comp with bonus protection, breakdown, windscreen, etc. Couldn't beat it.

Don't ring around. Just get a load of different quotes online

My insurance with 123.ie is €331.
( 43 + never any claims, 15+ years of driving)
When they sent the renewal notice they tried bumping it up to €450.
But I just re-entered my exact same details into their web site for a new quote, and got €331 for this year.

Depends on your location as well.
I moved from Lucan to Drogheda, and they added another €90 or so on when I notified them of the change of address.
