    Hi I got another bill, period 01//07- 30/09 off €65.54. This is my second bill. It says it's metered. Am I going to be billed this amount every three months so? I'd so that's an awful lot. How are people who didn't give their account details going to be charged or is it just people like me who are going to be getting these high bills?


    I applied for the grant ages ago, when does this come through?

    Thanks for your query.

    Irish Water bills are issued to customers on a quarterly basis. Due to capped charges which are in place until 2018, customers will not be charged more than 160 Euro/260 Euro per year for water services, depending on the number of occupants at the property and the number of water services used at the property.

    Those who have not registered their details with Irish Water are billed on a default charge of 260 Euro per year. Please see here for more details on water charges.

    If there is anything regarding your Irish Water bill that you are concerned about and would like to be investigated, please send the below details via PM and we will be happy to help:

    Your name;
    Address;
    Contact Number;
    Account Number and;
    Confirmation that you are the account holder.

    The Water Conservation Grant is issued by the Department of Social Protection. To check the status of your grant payment, we would suggest that you call the Water Grant Support Team on 1890 100 043. Their phone lines are open from 9:30am-5pm, Monday to Friday.
