Buying a car with clocks in Miles rather than km

Considering changing the car and seen one locally online, but looks to be an import from UK or NI as it has the clocks in miles

Its from a main dealer and car brand is associated with this dealer, so maybe they imported it, but I'll be going soon to have a personal look at it

Would anyone have concerns in buying a car with UK clocks instead of clocks in km? Would it have an effect on resale later on? Also, what way is there of double checking the history of the car prior to it being imported?

Car is quoted as having full service history from new and just 1 owner

    Thanks in advance

Ask to see the log book. Look at sections:

    B. Which shows the first date of registration, mo matter which country it was first registered in.

B.1 Date of first registration in Ireland

J.4 Previous registration number, if registered in the UK there will be a number here.

You can also check the UK reg number of the car to get a more detailed history of it.

The miles/km clocks has mo bearing on resale for the vast majority of people.

Half the used cars in Ireland at this stage must have been UK imports. I'm on my third UK import and never had any issues selling them. Remember up to 10 years ago we used mph too.

Regarding service history, ask the dealer to show it to you and ring the UK garages to verify the details in it. You can also do an online check of a MOT history using the old UK registration number.

Looks good IMO, But bit boring colour and not EX spec.
Good peace of mind buying from main dealer, and their used car warranty is very good.

Have you looked at accords in the uk for comparison?
