The level low warning on the dash keeps coming on on my mk4 mondeo even though the thing is full, so im guessing a faulty sensor, so can these sensors be replaced or am i looking at a whole new resivour bottle with a new sensor? its been like this a while now and driving me insane will defo be a job for the weekend

Thanks for creating a new thread as the other was for VW.

Open reservoir up and check if it has a "float" inside(like a toilet does). Is this float stuck perhaps? *

    * maybe this was changed on newer models. Have a look anyway.

The sensor is part of the bottle.
Try dissconnecting it if that doesnt work cross the two wires and that should knock the light out.

@ biko no worries just on phone and went for handier way

@ martin do you mean remove the 2 wires into the sensor and just join then so it by passes the sensor?

    cheers

Try the battery first as was suggested it may be a fault in the bcmi if so this may reset it.
If that doesnt work try first dissconnecting the sensor turn on your ignition see is the message gone.
If not join the two pins in the plug with a piece of wire see does the message dissapear if so do a more permanent job but try the battery first.
