Have any of you used dehumidifiers that you can link/recommend ?
I've seen some reusable packs on Amazon but would like to hear your opinions.

    Thank's in advance!

Depending on how bad the car is, you can pick up dehumidifier bags in Home Store and More...get 5 or 6 of them and throw them into the footwells, and on the seats. Leave them for 24 hours or so - found they did a good job after wet vac'ing carpets, seats and mats.

Is the car damp already or is it going to be parked up for an extended period of time?

Unibond do the one below. It can be got in Woodies and the like. I find it useful in the camper over the winter.

It's just for the condensation that forms overnight on the windscreen/windows in this damp weather, instead of waiting for air conditioning/demister to clear it.
The products I had seen could be dried in oven to renew.

I saw ones recently that you can dry out in the oven or microwave, they would be handy. Have you thought about a coating? Rainex do an interior coating for condensation. Not sure how well it works though.

How often do you dry on rad and how did it actually last?

I bought this one a while ago,
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00I3VKBJS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

been using it and finding it great,
it's only in a small car (wife's Toyota Yaris) you might need 2 in a large car but 1 is doing a great job in our small car.
Recharge it buy putting it in the microwave for 6 mins and it's ready to go again. Highly Recommended.

    Would you do that daily?

    Is there a shelf/useful life?

No not daily, maybe every 5/6 days or so, or maybe like 3 times in 2 weeks,
It is really working well in the Yaris, there used to be all condensation on the windscreen and side widows and you know what it's like having to clear it before you can see properly but since I got this I haven't had to clear them at all. It says on the box that it lasts indefinitely but I'm sure it will die at some point but if I get 1 or 2 years out of it I'll be happy enough to buy another.
We left the car unused for nearly a week when the weather was at it's worst with the flooding and it kept it clear all that time.

Car air con has a built in dryer, so if you use air con even in winter, it will clear the condensation, but obviously you will be using a little more petrol. and you dont actually have to turn the temperature down while using it.

My Wife's 04 Yaris = No Air Con

Thanks - wife has 03 golf - condensation drives me nuts.

This looks like it will do the jobs so - thanks for recommendation.

I find constantly using the Air Con makes the windows fogging worse....sure it clears it quickly, but over time it happens more and more!

I bought something similar to this a while back.

It seemed to work and I got a dribble of water out every day, but it didn't make any noticeable difference to the windows fogging up.

Depends on how damp the car is, usually dry it when it feels like it needs it or it stops being effective. Been using it for over a year now and still going strong
