Seamed to me like a great deal until I checked
    http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Western-Digital-Elements-Desktop-Drive/product/B00NAQG0VY?context=browse
for a price history on amazon and they were selling it from June till September for around 150 euro. Now the price is up.
I personally think that there is still plenty of margin to be cut :)

So it was €20 more expensive on Amazon previously and is now higher but you don't think this is a great deal?

Can you point to somewhere selling this or any other 5TB drive cheaper?

OP, thanks for the link, need a new HDD and this will save me a good few €.

Any 'modern' OS will recognise a 5TB partition.

They had a bit of an issue finding it on their system but this will hopefully serve me as long as other Western Digital hard drives have

Anyone who bought one of these have any problems loading over 2tb on it ?
I'm using my NAS and midnight commander to copy of the files adn I had this problem with one before. Can't copy over any more data once it hit's a certain point.

It's not the disk it's the filesystem

    http://www.disk-partition.com/articles/break-2tb-file-system-limit-4348.html

Convert it to a GPT disk and you're fine.
