it literally could not be more straight forward, in normal circumstances.
You will arrive in a common departures / arrivals area and just walk down the terminal to the other gate.

The only thing is that if you come from a destination that has not European standard security checks, then you are considered a "dirty passenger" so you need to get a security check through a new special subsection of the non-schengen terminal, but you shouldnt have to show a passport as its not an immigration issue.

There is a reason Munich wins best airport in Europe nearly every year.

And feck it, its even the small things like keeping the catering open behind security near the gates until the last flight leaves. And the microbrewery in the common area with pints for €2.70 a pop.

And then Frankfurt just shuts their airside whenever it suits them regardless of what passengers want, so 8pm or 9 at latest, meaning you are starving when waiting on a connection for a late or delayed flight.
As an aerlingus passenger or similar, this is grand as you can get something onboard for cash, with lufthansa you get a coffee and a biscuit.
I hate the place, and as much as I hate Heathrow, Frankfurt has to be worse.
