Hi I'm just wondering if you can help me with some info. I'm currently employed at <snip> for 2 1/2 years. It was a yearly rolling contact but this year they decided to offer me and 7 others a permanent contract but the contract on offer was worse than the flexi part time contact that we had started on as in this new contract it states that they can cut my hours to 15 a week without notice and also say that if work is slack they can ask me not to come in until work picks up again. Obviously we refused this contract and its gone to the union and there trying to negotiate a new contract. My contract has been out since August 7th and it looks like new final contract won't be finalised until next year. The other thing since May of 2014 I have been working Monday to Friday and doing 39 hours a week which I'm happy out doing but last week my manager told me that he's putting me working Saturday's and giving me a day off during the week. This doesn't suit me as my partner works Saturday and Sundays and its this money that's keeping us afloat as were I am the pay is very poor. I want to be left working Monday to Friday's and wondering if they can just change my days in such short notice if they can do it at all. I believe there's a thing called Work Practice where if your working days and hours are the same for a period of time they cant change it unless you agree to. Any info on where I stand I'd greatly appreciate it.
