Window manafuctures for new build

I'll be ordering windows for our new build in the next few months and wanted to see if people had any good or bad experiences with manufactures/installers.

Here is an initial list we were considering:
    - Carlson, Velfac, Rationel, Nordan, Munster.

We will have a lot of large floor to ceiling south facing windows.
We want slim contemporary window frames that will have low u-values but also have to stick to our budget.

Our architect reckons Velfac are the most ascetically pleasing windows.

    Any tips/advice welcome.

Please PM me personal opinions as I believe it's against forum rules to publicly post opinions on window manufactures.

Eh, no it's not. Both of the posts below are from Oct 2015....

Personally I wouldn't give Munster Joinery the steam off my p1ss after the last dealings I had with them. Mediocre workmanship, sh1t service, sh1t attitude.

Exactly my experience with Munster Joinery windows. So badly fitted that they may as well be open in terms of noise. I can actually feel a slight breeze if I stand by the closed windows.

I got new eight new windows and a kitchen door installed this year by Wright Windows, can't recommend them highly enough. They were recommended by a friend and I discovered that they're part of the Grafton Group (who own Woodies) yet they never spend a penny advertising, unlike MJ who are on the radio every other day. http://www.wrightwindows.ie/
