Yup buying second hand you are not guaranteed to get the download code as they are normally used up.

How much does it cost to buy the taken king upgrade from the psn store? Would it end up cheaper buying this for 20 bucks and getting the dlc throgh the store? Cheapest I have found the whole package was argos for about 60 quid so if it cost less than 40 to upgrade this would still be the cheapest route.

Well to start with you need to own the "Expansion Pass" which includes the first two DLC bundles. It is €35. Once you own that, you are allowed to buy The Taken King for €40.

Preowned Game (sans code) + Expansions Pass + The Taken King = €98!!!

The €60 disc version only has the base game on the disc and has a code that unlocks all the current DLC. This also means a 18GB download is need before you can even play the full extent of the game online

Going preowned is a trap, as without that code you are screwed!

Wow that is a bit of a rip off. I don't mind paying the discounted price of about 60 in argos but would hate to end up paying over €100 if you bought the game originally.

Guess I will be going with the argos version.

    Look on Adverts..

People got them with PS4s and are selling them cheaply sealed with the code unused...

If you haven't played Destiny or haven't got either of the first two expansions you should buy Destiny The Taken King Legendary Edition. This edition contains all the dlc and the base game. It was available on SimplyGames for £35.00 recently.

Just to say guys, I actually got the one from Xtravision and the Taken King & Vanguard pack codes were unused so I now have a spare taken king code which apprently accesses the Expansions as well......

    Lucky!

I ended up picking up from amazon US for 50 USD (about 45 euro) for the digital collector's edition. You will need to create a US psn account to apply the code but you can play it on your own irish account then afterwards. Was about the best price I could fine and didn't really want to gamble on Xtravision.

Have you got TTK already ? The game has the following

    Base Game
    DLC 1 - Dark Below
DLC 2 - House of Wolves
Expansion 1 - The Taken King

If you got the Legendary Edition from Xtravision all the above is included.
