Self Employed - Prelim tax payment date?

I am registered for online prelim tax payment.

I thought that, on a certain date in November, Revenue would take the due amount from my account.

Am I correct in this? If so, when is/was the due date? (The money is still in my account.)

Or should I have transferred the prelim payment to Revenue myself?

    Thanks in advance.

    D.

The tax system is self assessment, it was up to you to decide how much preliminary tax was due and submit a payment by the relevant date, which was Thurs 12th Nov this year.

Normally people declare and pay preliminary tax when filing their previous year's income tax return. Did you file your 2014 return yet?

    Barney,

    Thanks for the reply.

I presume my accountant did it. I've emailed him. Waiting for a reply.

I'm hopeless at this sort of thing and have to be re-told it every year!

    Thanks again.

Our accountant normally asks us to forward him a cheque or to give him our bank BIK and IBAN numbers to he can set up a single debit authority with Revenue. We chose the latter this time and the money came out last week

    Sorted now.
