buying UK import car in Ireland and back to UK in future

Hi all,
I am about to buy a car which is UK import, dealer said final price I ll pay will include VRT +Irish Registered plate+ NCT etc.
Sorry, but it sounds too stupid to ask this question. I was wondering, what if I move to uk in near future; or sell this car to someone from UK; and car goes back to UK again. what would be VRT situation then? means UK VRT has to be paid again or will need to register the car with DVLA again? I suppose MOT will be required regarless. any kind of taxes has to be repaid or as the VRT has paid already, why you would pay twice?

There is no UK VRT, only a £50 or so registration fee. You may qualify for a VRT refund also.

There is no VRT in the UK. If VRT is paid and you decide to export the car back to the UK or sell it to someone in the UK then currently you can apply for a VRT refund minus Revenue's administration fee of €500. After that the normal registration process for importing a used vehicle into the UK applies.
