Gas Stove Supplying Central Heating

    Hi,

So, I believe that a solid fuel stove (70% plus efficiency) can supply central heating.

Do gas stoves exist that do the same?

Currently converting the open fire to something high efficiency and wondering if the gas option above exists, even just to take the edge of coldness out of the house when the main sitting room fire is on.

    Thanks.

To my knowledge, I don't think any modern gas stoves do this, and if they do, they'd be horribly inefficient.
If I were you, I'd use my money to upgrade your gas boiler and heating controls, avail of the grants, and if you've enough money, get the walls pumped

Would there be a grant for upgrading the coal fire to an efficient gas one? I will check that out. Thanks
