    Hi Friends,

I am a Non-EU Citizen in Ireland, having a Critical Skill work permit. My company deals with a lot of projects in UK and wants me to travel their. I do have a visit visa for UK but I am assuming I would not be allowed to work there even though I am an employee of an Irish Based company.

Can anyone guide me what sort of Visa should I get to visit UK and able to work their.

    Thanks,
    Ali

I don't think it would count as work if you're being paid by your employer in Ireland. You would need a work visa to take up employment in the UK but I don't think that's what you're planning on doing.

I took a quick look at UK visas and there is one called 'Representative of an Overseas Business visa' which sounded promising but that's just for someone who wants to move to the UK to open an office there to represent an overseas business so that's not for you.

Why not tell your company to consult their lawyers to figure it out? I don't see why the responsibility to do the research should fall on you.
