what should i be paying to replace brake calipers

    mechanic said I will need to probably replace break calipers soon. Of course I never asked him as he was already after servicing the car and changing two brake pads and that was enough expense for one day. What should I expect to pay for two brake calipers to be fitted to the back of the car. car- audi a4 2006 1.9 diesel.

    i presume he meant he was going to change the calipers at either side of the back. He said they were half red looking meaning that they were heating or something like that?
