Hi I am moving into a small house and trying to find a location for the washing machine. The hot water cylinder is currently located in the kithen area. The plumber has said he will raise the tank closer to the ceiling in its current location and create space under it. The tank will be inclosed in the same press as the kitchen presses. integrated as such. Is there any reason why I could not put the washing machine under the tank in this press.?????? All advice greatly appreciated

None that i know off, Just dont use a washer dryer as its not good practice to enclose a dryer, Also the valve outlet will have to be sealed but the plumber will know that

Thanks for taking time to reply

Somebody told me it would be too much heat generated. Do you see that as a problem?

They can produce quite a bit of heat, especially in drying mode. Maybe a solution would be to consider fitting high and low level vents to the cabinet door which will allow good air circulation.
