    Renault Kadjar:

Dynamic S Nav v Signature Nav

Signature Nav doesn't come with a spare wheel or the option to purchase one. Owing to the subwoofer, it doesn't appear theres space in the car to store a spare wheel - would this put you off?

Dynamic S Nav comes with 19" wheels as standard but you can have 17" wheels at no extra cost - interested in positives and negatives of one set of wheels over the other

I think there was a similar wheels discussion here about the Qashqai.
Obviously 19 inch tyres will be a good bit more expensive to replace and would be possibly more susceptible to damage from kerbing or potholes. They look great though.

How is the final pricing stacking up vs the qashqai that it's based on.

A lovely car and I think much better looking than its Nissan cousin (besides Qashqai are everywhere now) I do think its a bit mad having 19in wheels on a car in Ireland do unless you are going to be on the motorways all the time.

Bit the bullet and ordered the Dynamic S Nav plus Premium Parking Pack. (Hands Free parking, rear parking camera and blind spot warning)

Got a call at the weekend to say car will be ready for collection end of January but Premium Parking Pack isn't available as an option on this model. It is only available on the highest spec model. The model I ordered is the model below the top spec.

I'm not happy it took the dealer so long to discover and let me know the option wasn't available on the model I ordered.

How would you react to this?

Depends upon if you see it as a deal breaker. Can you live with the car with out constantly regretting not having it!!!!

It is a complete joke and they most of known before this and only decided to inform you when telling you of pick up date. They would of known the minute they tried to process original order

I'd cancel, their mistake, their problem. It will wreck your head getting it when there's already something missing. They should know these cars inside out, they are only new, there's no outgoing model that might confuse them.

Any chance they've ordered the top model with the pack by mistake and are sussing you out?

If it is just missing the hands free parking thing then I would go ahead with the order, and use the mistake as a reason for some good will. How important a feature is it? I know someone with it, and other than showing people look what my car can do, it never gets used, ever.

We've used ours twice in two years. I prefer not to use it at all.

You're spot on. The op wil be sitting in that car in 6 months time and will be kicking themselves. If im spending €29k plus I'd want what I ordered. Threaten to walk. Worst case scenario dealer is stuck with a car. Nice car.

A friend of mine had the same issue with a Sportage order a few tears ago.
Told them he was cancelling the order. They gave him the higher spec model to keep the business (probably ordered in error anyway).

Years ago I ordered a new Santa Fe with leather and electric sunroof. Car turned up but with no leather. I said I was cancelling as not what I had ordered. Dealer had leather fitted by a specialist company *and my choice of colour)

A car without leather, the wrong colour or gearbox then yes I agree. Not for the option the OP is talking about. I would make the dealer sweat though to see what comes from it.

I'm looking at changing my car in the autumn, and I've had a look at the Kadjar and the Hyundai Tucson (and a test drive in both). Both are around the same price; just over €32k. The Kadjar is a nice car, but the lack of a spare wheel plus the fact that a reversing camera doesn't come as standard, even on the top spec Signature model, is putting me off. Not only do you get both on the Tucson "executive" model, the spare wheel is actually a full size alloy (not steel). Plus, the Hyundai just appears the nicer car. I was also considering the Sportage, but they brought out a new version this year and it looks like Sue off the Vodafone ads.
