Couldn't find a recent thread. I am looking for some recommendations for new windows. Living in a 3 bed semi. Only need front of the house done. 3 windows and a slider door,I got a price today of 6k,wondering are there cheaper alternatives?
    Thanks.

Are you getting anything special for the 6k, it seems a bit steep tbh, unless they're massive windows.
How much is the sliding door costing

Hard to say exactly, without knowing the breakdown and what your window requirements are but for reference, I know someone who recently bought 3 upvc windows with 2 openings, top and bottom, 1M x 1.5M approx, double glazed with Georgian style bars in for €550 without fitting. No idea what your door would cost but 6 grand sounds like a lot of cash in this instance. Ask for a breakdown. :)

I got 2 windows fitted both 1200X1800 in 2 separate locations on the southside of dublin for 900 all in.
They both had 1 opening - a door the full height. double glazed. profile wasnt bad looking, but it was the cheapest. colour was white.

The more openings you go for the more expensive.

If you're southside i can pm his number - i got him through tradesmen.ie
