Smart TV & Saorview - Help!

    Hi all,

I'm pretty much a tech newbie so I apologise for my ignorance and say thanks in advance to anyone that can point me in the right direction

I just bought a new LG smart TV. Apparently it has Saorview compatibility built in.

I've just also moved into a new house.

There were 2 satellite cables coming into the living room. I connected my old sky box (I don't have a subscription - just the free to air channels) up to one and it worked.

I also connected the the other satellite cable to the TV and I am getting hundreds of TV channels through the Live TV app on the telly (mostly crap).

But I have no Irish channels and I neeeed them.

So can anyone tell me what I need to do to get them through Saorview, which is apparently built into the LG TV?????

    Thanks.

You say you connected the TV with the sat cable, was it to a screw on type connection. If so you are possibly getting free to air satellite, you can edit out the channels you don't want. There should be a second socket for a TV aerial to receive saorview, you may have to change source on the TV.
