Probably from a vaping 365 chain or something.

By atomizer, I assume you mean bvc coil? Or do you mean ce4 clearo? Cause a fiver is normal for a ce4. Overpriced massively for a standard bvc coil

I meant a Standard kanger aerotank coil, wont say the name of the place in case i get into trouble or something but it is a chain.

    I will.

Vaping 365in Dun Laoghaire wanted to charge me that. Swore blind it was the cheapest I'd get them for as well.

Sad to say Vapourpal charge this in store for some atomizers as well.
I was waiting on a delivery of coils so I did pay it but I think they are shooting themselves in the foot asking €5 for one when I can get five for €10 online.

As soon as you hear that price tag i had already made up my mind that i'd never set foot in the store again lol if they had fair prices id be in there constantly

The cost base for online v b&m stores is very different

Why the hell would you get in trouble?!? You are stating the price they charge for something in their shop.

While this is true and I'd never begrudge a Brick and Mortar shop charging higher prices to cover the additional overheads of running an actual shop, you can buy individual coils for 2.50 in my local B&M Ecovape in Bray. It's run by a person who owns only that shop. He's paying the rent to run a shop jist of Bray Main street which is not cheap and he charges 2.50 for a coil. The reason the various stalls around shopping centres etc charge twice that despite paying a fraction of the rent to run their stall and despite the fact that they probably pay less per unit than a standalone shop like Ecovape because they usually run multiple stalls throughout the country is because they are profiteering. The vast majority of their business is from new vapers who don't know any better, particularly those who are a bit older and are less likely to be going online and joining forums and FB groups. They know exactly what they're doing and they go way beyond anything they can justify by claiming highee overheads, for that I've absolutely no time for them whatsoever. The owners that is, and not the staff.

Sorry, but of a bugbear of mine :)

    That's true in some cases.
The bricks and mortar shops are the ones that have the websites and trade online also. Note, I'm talking about Irish Sites and Shops.

The difference between a shop and a website, its mainly the shop pays council rates,
    insurance and rent.
But a 100% mark up on a simple thing like a coil up seems way over the top.

Its true, you pay for convenience, but its not the only think you pay for their
knowledge also, which can be priceless, and actually save you money in the long run.

    Maybe I was lucky,
I smoked for 40 years and to be honest loved every cigarette. But in the last few months got tired of smoking.

A few months before, a few friends starting Vaping and I ended looking at sites a few weeks later.
At this stage its was all a bit confusing with different Mods, and juices that were available, with some of the names meaning nothing really.

I did not decide to give up cigarettes at this stage, but I though maybe this vaping think might work. And it was worth €40 to find out.

At worst I was after spending money on something that was useless. But at least I gave it a try.

I ended up going to a shop where I live and told him my story. He fixed me up with a kit and went through everything on its use and answered all of my stupid questions.
I asked him to pick out a juice for me. He picked out tobacco one wish made sense since I was used to that for years.

But if I was buying online, I don't think I would have picked that one, with a choice of hundreds of flavors, after a day or two I would be smoking again.

After weeks I bought a mod from him. All the prices I paid were no dearer then what I could have got them online. The Mod was a few Euros cheaper.

I know they are lots of sites and I comparing Irish Sites for my price guides.

I did not look at others, and never thought of buying from China or anywhere else.

I did not smoke since entering that shop weeks ago, and don't every want to smoke again.
If I ordered from a website, I would have made bad decisions and be smoking again.

I wont name the shop, it also has a website, I know there's some rules here about advertising and stuff. So I will skip that bit.

People here would have a fair idea of whom I'm talking about anyway from my location.

I never thought I was being ripped off price wise, and in fact I know I was getting stuff at great prices.

So without the help I got going to that shop I would be back smoking again. Contact with a website would never have worked for me anyway.

So not all shops are overpriced and out to rip off people that come in their doors.
After all good shops need those people to keep coming back to survive.

I for one will keep going back to that shop again.:)

    What coils though? I'm doubting they're sub-ohm?

In my local iVape the prices are in line with all the usual known Irish online vendors, 3.50 for sub-tank, €4 for Atlantis/Herekles/Triton etc

Ok, to be fair, I haven't yet bought sub-ohm there but the OP states further down...

'I meant a Standard kanger aerotank coil, wont say the name of the place in case i get into trouble or something but it is a chain.'

So that is what I was referring to.
