    Hi,
There's some great Black Friday deals, like this. If I was to order in Ireland I presume I'd be hit by high import costs, are there any legal ways/companies that you can order through and not get hit with all costs etc.?

    Thanks,
    Pa.

No legal way to avoid taxes ect. According to B&H website that would work out at

    Base price $259.99
    Shipping $39.41
    Duties and Tax $114.73

    Total: $414.13

So there might be a very slight saving over Irish prices

I think I saw the prices and got a bit over excited. After checking the conversion rate it's not as cheap as I though. And buying the same items (although) 2nd hand is fairly similar prices.

Will have to check what offers within Europe pop up for European equivalent/watered down Black Friday.

It's €21 cheaper (it's the HD WR model) but as I said I got a bit too excited when I saw the initial price. I was half hoping there'd be some company/service like OneStopDigital (Asia based) who will pay the import duties if you get charged them.

What way is Parcel Motel treated duty wise?
If an item attracted lower duty in the UK, and I specify a N. Ireland parcel motel address, do Customs in Dublin take an interest in the parcels that end up in R. O. I depots?

PM wont entertain stuff requiring customs charges.

try eglobal. I got a Tamron 600 mm for just over 700 which was 1400 in the shops here.

No. They're in the EU and you're paying their tax so there's no tax due here.

IF YOu want to take the risk check hdew cameras in uk. Some items has GREAT prices. Stock is asian (grey imports) so they are giving onely one year warranty from the supplier and the rest is their own warranty which i think would be a garbage - not real warranty. I was considering buying nikon d7200 but finally i got it in camera centre .
