Went for a walk down the Lee fields today, the water level was just about lapping the bank edge , the river was so full.
Noticed swarms of Gerridae all along the edge. Impressive sight really as there was so many of them. Is it late in the season to be seeing so many of them?

It's all weather dependent and we have just had the warmest October since 1880, so they were happy out.
