Hi - not sure if this is the appropriate thread for my query - perhaps someone may assist

    It's about PRA Maps

I have often prepared A4 PRA Maps for houses and have downloaded A4 maps at 1:1000 scale from the OSI Web site.

This afternoon I downloaded an OSI Map for a house in Clonee - it down loaded at a scale of 1:2,500 !

Went back to check and it does not seem possible to download Clonee at 1:1000.

Does anyone know if its acceptable to prepare an A4 PRA Map at the scale of 1:2,500 ??

    Comments / advice appreciated
    Thanks

    yes it is

out here in the sticks we use 1:2500 quite often.... 1:1000 is usually only available in urban areas.

We do most of our work in the sticks. I remember when I was young and green and got my first 1:1000 town map. I felt screwed because I got less map for the same money!!!

Completely normal. I got some OSi maps for Littlepace in Clonee recently and also in Ongar, both at 1:2500 scale only.

Yes, maps at 1:1000 are a novelty here as I would mostly deal with rural housing.
1:2500 is perfect and likely the best scale available for that location.
As far as I know mapping at up to 1:5000 can be used for registration.
If you were to request a special registration map on landdirect on a large area, it would be issued at 1:5000
