If it's for use on Saorview the series link will not work.

no series link for either the Humax or Panasonic

humax you can't reorder the channels but you do get programme info
Panasonic you can reorder the channels but no programme info (The Cush I am open to correction on this)

I have being using the humax for nearly a year now delighted with it and has never failed to record.

The FVP box is probably overkill for the ROI as it is a new freeview play box and the features won't work here. A HDR-1800T 320GB or HDR-2000T 500GB would be more than adequate and cheaper for here. Similarily the freeview hd recorders from panasonic

Sorry meant to say Humax box, the customer I was trying to get info for has bought the Panasonic box, good box have one myself , just was wondering about the new Humax box but looks like there's not much reason to pick it over the Panasonic and the panny is a bit cheaper, thanks for the info, I thought maybe it did the series link on Saorview but guess not.
