Drum kit for 12yr where & what type?

12yr started playing drums with a marching band and top of the list a drum kit so any help on where is best value to buy and what am I looking for?

I saw a DXP 5 piece kit on Adverts the other day for €200 or something.
Not a great kit by any means but as a starter kit it may do.

Your best bet is to take a look around some music stores and speak to somebody in the drum dept about what you should look for in a kids first kit. Then have a look online for kits like the above and see if they match what they suggest.
