Do tenants and people renting houses (both long and short term) have the same rights to vote on issues that will have long term effect on a housing estate, such as the construction of a playground in the center of the estate. The county council want to build this if voted through by residents.
Do homeowners have anymore rights than tenants how can move on at anytime in such matters?

If it's being voted on by "residents" then a tenant would be just as much a resident as a home owner.

But, I'm sure the council can clarify better.

Even though someone renting can move easily if it starts to cause problems and a homeowner can't and it could even devalue property very close to it?

Normally such votes would be cast by the property owners.

Most of the residents committee in the estate want everyone to have vote. I am trying to find out if there is a legal answer about tenants having a vote on something that effects property owners

No, just the residents committee and the county council

No, just the residents committee and the county council

    Might make things easier,
It's possible the council may put stipulations on who can vote

They are leaving it up to the committee. None of them live beside the proposed playground.
