Small but curious issue with bridge setup

    Hey guys,

This issue has been around for a long time for me but I never really asked anyone about it.

This issue can happen once (and rarely twice) a day for maybe ~3mins at a time. My TC7200 is bridged with my Archer C7 connected.

I lose connection to anything that is wired directly into it for the estimated time above and it then returns and it's perfect again. Not a huge issue but it caused be to DC from something important last night which frustrated me. I CANNOT connect to the Archer C7 router when it's "down".

I did happen to figure out that if I do a flushdns through cmd that it returns to connection MUCH faster.

Any ideas? Not a huge issue but curious all the same.

To confirm, wired devices are all into the Archer not the TC7200?

Next time it happens, quickly see what the ethernet lights are doing on the Archer.

Yep on the Archer. Wireless is fine funnily enough. When it disconnects I browse the internet on my phone through the Wi-Fi.

    Will do!

Sounds like it's something to do with the DHCP lease time. Try increasing that on the router or assigning a static ip to one of your devices to check. Preferably in the upper part of your ip range.

Opps I forgot to report back!

Increasing the lease time seems to have solved it for me. It was set to 120 or something like that.
