Getting a new gaming computer

    Hey guys,

Decided to finally dump my old desktop and get a prebuilt one from ebay, mostly because im lazy. Did a fair bit of looking around and came across a rig with this hardware.

CPU : AMD FM2 A8 7650K APU Quad Core CPU 3.3Ghz (turbo 3.8Ghz) Black Edition
Hard Drive : 1TB Seagate Sata 7200RPM 6Gb/s Hard Drive
    Memory : 16GB DDR3 1600mhz Memory
Graphics: AMD Radon R7 Series Graphics
    For 450 euro with delivery.

I know a bit about computer hardware and this seems to be fairly legit for its price, wondering if I should go for it or buy something else? Btw, have a Radeon 7700 in my current set up, could transfer it to the new one if its better than the integrated but I honestly don't know. Looking to play stuff like Battlefront and Fallout 4.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

what rez are you going to be playing at and what are your expected settings and FPS for Fallout 4/Battlefront? kinda mad to be getting 16gig ram when the CPU/GPU isint that great - http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/amd_a8_7650k_apu_and_a68h_chipset_review,9.html

Ignoring idiots who comment "far right" because they don't even know what it means

Not really good. For the same money you could build a much faster machine with i3-4160 and GTX750. That A10 APU is way slower than an i3, and the integrated R7 is very poor, your old 7770 would be easily faster.

Forget any APU for proper gaming with titles like Battlefield/Battlefront. They're just too slow.

There's literally no reason to buy AMD unless you like wasting money

    As above.

Going through skinflint.co.uk might knock a few euro off for you. Make sure to check the box for German sites with it.

Computeruniverse.net are fairly good value too.

Yeah replace that AMD with an i3-4160 and H81, all in all it won't be much more expensive and will be twice as fast in games. That 860K is very slow.

Can also get the VS350, would be plenty for future upgrade to GTX950/960 class cards now, and even more powerful models in future.
