Double Greens

What do you think of double greens (A large green that serves as the green for two different holes on the golf course)?

I am trying to list all the golf courses in Ireland that feature a double green. Courses I know that have them are Portsalon, Glen of the Downs, Greenore and Fota Island. Do you know any others?

    Castlebar.

Not a fan of them. Can be dangerous and slows play down.

Castlebar has a double green serving the 4th and 7th. Massive green with a ridge that divides the 4th and 7th side so it takes a fairly wayward shot to hit the wrong side. Never really thought about if I liked the feature or not, can add a bit of danger / delay to the equation.

Castleknock has one on the 9th (and 18th). It's kind of just two greens joined up by a line of green between them though. Works fine.

The 8th and 14th on the old course are almost joined. Wouldn't consider it a double green tbh.

I thought it worked very well in castleknock. Two excellent par threes coming in over different sides of the water right in front of the clubhouse. Great to play and a nice show for the people in the bar watching.

Usually a terrible idea unless they are really huge as they tend to slow play down (which is to be avoided at all costs) and can be dangerous when amateur golfers are hitting shots.

The one at Highfield covers the 11th and 16th holes, but really you have to be stupidly long (and right on the 16th) on both holes to really have any effect.

2nd & 10th I think it is. Don't really impact each other from what I remember.
