I live in a rural area, and have 4meg broadband via my copper phone line. I have sort of resigned myself to not having superfast BB anytime soon. I live on a road that has this box at the end of it, is it a telephone box? If so, does the fact that its only 1km from my house mean that someday I might get increased speeds on…

Doesnt look like any of the usual CCPs. Its not ESB so it could be an old one, but it could also be traffic lights etc.
