My velux window is letting in water on stormy days. It is coming in around the window sash where it meets the frame in the bottom left corner. Any ideas on remedies?

Moved from Feedback. Not sure if this is the right place for it so mods please feel free to move it on if necessary.

I have two keylite windows leaking the very same way as the op's, they are only five years installed. I know the weather is harsh but I still wouldn't expect them to leak like this. They have a ten year warranty. I have contacted the builder who in turn contacted the builders providers who were to contact keylite. But that was a month ago and now there is another one leaking. Should I follow up or wait ?

Most likely flashing problems, it nearly always is with roof windows. As for the Keylight problem, chase it up because Keylight usually have brilliant after care service!!

Put up a photo of the outside of the roof.
I see that in a ridiculous amount of cases the flashings are incorrectly fitted.

Very often the roofers fit the bottom apron a course too late leaving the corner of the window frame open to rain ingress underneath the apron.

I will get photo of slates and flashing this evening if weather permits, but I had taken a few photos of where I see traces of water and it seems to be trickling in between the window and the frame, in one you can see the timber is gone black from being constantly damp. Window_1.jpg

Did you get anywhere on this? Same issue with mine

Funny you posted that question as earlier today was only thinking that keylite never contacted me ! The builder of my house contacted the builder providers who supplied him with the windows they in turn contacted me and said they would get keylite out to check the windows ! But that was a long time ago. I must follow up with them next week.

I have exactly same problem in exactly same place. It lets in water a few minutes after it rains. Only started in last few weeks. Went up today and took off any growth, not much. I noticed the roof tiles at the bottom had moved down a little, so pushed them back up (did not think that was connected). Went out and put hose on it, but still leaking. Took a good look, opened etc., but seals seem fine. Anyone know anyone in Fingal region who could fix?
