Back in April I bought a copy of Bishop Joseph Butler's 'Analogy of Religion' (Google version here) from an Antique Bookshop here in Cork with the intention of reselling it online.

Due to personal circumstances including my little sister getting pregnant (not my family's finest moment) it's only this weekend that I've had a chance to examine the book to check the quality, edition etc.

Just inside the first pages (which incidentally contain a photo of Bishop Butler himself I found a Postcard with some writing on the back in some kind of code (please see links to pictures below). The front shows a reproduction of a picture by Monet.

The postcard is clearly much more recent than the book, it was probably placed in there in the past few years by the previous owner or perhaps someone in the book shop.

It also looks like the writing was done with a fountain pen. The lettering as you will see is written in groups of five or six and is capitalised like one of those old style telegrams.

Anyone who can help tell me what t says I'd be very, very grateful and will give you reward in the form of an Amazon/Boots voucher!!

I have put some pictures of the book and postcard here:

I have typed out the writing on the postcard here:

I have tried some of the online code cracking tools but so far no joy. Any budding code crackers out there, your efforts are appreciated.

Perhaps if I offer a 50 Euro Amazon voucher it might whet people's appetite? I am impatient to find out what this is, dying for a solution! :-D
