As per the title, have people any opinion on septic tanks with two or three chambers.
Is one better than the other. They're both from two different suppliers and both comply with the relevant regs.

Forget the amount of chambers the decision should be made on the Pump itself, its running time and its power consumption and its capabilities. You will find 50 excuses for a three chamber and 50 excuses for a twin chamber.

What capabilities are we talking about here? The volume that it can pump per minute or other?
Will be looking for tanks in the coming months so am interested in what should be asked of any potential installers/sellers.

    Thanks
Knew about the pump needing to be top notch was just curious if there was a difference between the tanks as both suppliers (naturally) claim their one is better.

If anything the more holding tanks the better for the final water extraction, as the sludge has three processes rather than two.

The Pump in question, is it aerating and pumping 24/7, or is it aerating for set periods dependant on load and then pumping dependant on quantity of processed water? This would be typical to a three chamber tank....

Standard 4000l litre (2/3) chamber tank which flows into 300l pumping tank which is then pumped via 2" hydro layer pipe up hill (approx 2m head) to the percolation area.
