cattle eating docks

    moving hiefers every 2 days at the moment and noticed they are mad for docks.any one see this before and is it a sign of iodine deficentcy

    People may laughat this but it's true. Cattle self medicate. So if they're lacking in something they will seek it out in different plants that they have access to.

    From googling docks are high in iron and vitamin A.

    we had a lad that would go for piss if it came out his ears!! gave him rock salt and that sorted him
